Hi! 👋 My name is Kristina.
I’m a sourdough baker, a wife, a mother, a teacher and a Ukrainian refugee in Portugal.
My family and I had to leave home to escape the war.
My true home is where my family, coffee, and sourdough starter are.
Therefore, two weeks after we came to Lisbon from Ukraine, I mixed flour and water without scales to make a sourdough starter.
I was full of doubts and hesitations, believing the war would end in 2-3 weeks.
This routine helped me to survive mentally while my loved ones were sheltering from a russian invasion.
Cooking and baking became my basement of stability when everything changed dramatically.
I’m obsessed with bread. I’m fond of learning and teaching.
Now I desire to share my knowledge, tips and practices with you.
